Dinner with Friends..
I’ve just got home from a lovely dinner 🙂
I woke up this morning to terrible pains in my lower stomach. I was scared to work out because I thought the working out would make the pain worse. So I made my lunch, got breakfast, had a shower and headed to work.
I didn’t have the greatest day at work but it was fine 🙂 I had some minor pains, but nothing laying on the floor under my desk didn’t fix!
I have to workout – I thought to myself. So I got on the 4:30 bus from work and headed straight home. When I got there, I decided that if I wanted to workout then it was now or never! So I got my training gear on and tried a new workout! It was hard but it made me feel so much better for doing it!
After that, I ate some fruit, got ready and headed to the train station to meet my friend.
So dinner! There were 8 of us.. sat around a square table eating chicken risotto (well I ate “spaghetti” risotto because my friend forgot about my allergies and had used butter). The food was lovely, the conversation flowing and the company amazing. It’s great because we all have different characters and personalities, but our common interests bring us together.
It is nice to be on the other side of a dinner party.. I’m always the one cooking and making meals, and I forget what it is like sometimes to be a guest!
We spoke about a lot of random things that ended with us singing songs from our childhoods.. Including a few favourites from Britney Spears (the early years), Whitney Houston, Atomic Kitten, Backstreet Boys, Blue, Steps and the list goes on!
I don’t have a lot of friends, but the ones that I do have I appreciate all the time.
It is often hard to find a group of people who you connect to and can have good conversation with – and I am glad that I have that – I’m starting to sound so mature! 😀
