Fix me…
I need a new laptop. Or effectively I need to fix this one.
It is touch and go at best. I got in from work and switched on my laptop to get my workout music going. It was such a struggle!
The laptop switched on.. Then it wouldn’t connect to my wireless.. Then it froze.. Then it wouldn’t play.. And the problems proceeded on and on like this. I then turned my back for a moment to check something in the mirror, I turn back towards my laptop and it had rebooted itself!
It is on and has connected to the Internet now, however it is frozen on 3 unresponsive pages. I think it has something to do with my shockwave player constantly crashing. I don’t know. I’m tired and it’s later than I thought it was.
Also, for some weird reason I have really itchy eyes. I don’t like having itchy eyes before bed as it is usually a sign that I’ll have a puffy eye in the morning 😦
I hope that I don’t 😦
Maybe it has been a bad idea to wear contacts in the smog..?
I’ve washed my hands and my face in ice-cold water and am hoping for the best!
Maybe I’ll wear my glasses to work tomorrow..

I can sympathise with the laptop problems. I think it sounds like your computer is trying to run too many things at the same time. I don’t know how much you know about laptops but have you tried de-cluttering your desktop and shutting down unnecessary programs? You might want to check your RAM too. If the laptop is quite old it probably could do with extra RAM. I had extra put into mine last year and it helped speed things up a great deal. My problem comes with the ominous ‘blue scree of death’ which pops up from time to time causing all unsaved work (and some saved work too) to be deleted. It’s like a knife in the heart when that happens!
It’s stupid is what it is.. It stops working before I’ve even tried to open anything! I have nothing on my desktop because the last time this happened it went blue screen, my friend recovered it for me and put all my stuff on my hard drive, so there is nothing on my desktop. Unnecessary programs – again.. won’t even load up to get that far.
My ram was updated when my friend fixed it and returned it back to me. It was working perfectly, but then I had to leave it at a friends house for a little bit and she must have downloaded something or did something dodgy to it because a day after I got it back from here it crashed again and went blue screen when it had been fine up until I left it at her house! It hasn’t worked well since then.
I think it may be dying then. Sorry to bring bad news
I know it’s dying, but I have hope. My uncle is a software engineer, so next time I am at home I will drop my laptop off with him and when I get it back I can guarantee that it will be as good as new.. I’m not that worried 🙂
lol good well make sure it’s not too long before you go home – how could we manage without your blog posts if anything happens?! 😉
There’s always my phone to upload things.. or the computer at work.. or some form of technology.. I’ll just have to figure it out!
