Day Thirty..#A Girl Named World
I published this poem exactly 2 years ago today. It is as relevant now as it was then..
I need to start writing again.. I don’t know why it became so lost to me but I don’t like it 😦
I hope you enjoy it..
Confessions of an Apple Junkie
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
But lo and behold her eyes are blind to true beauty
Distorted perceptions and falsely misplaced affections
Have created a monster
She trusts in things that are seen
Deceiving because her mind only sees what she wants
She trusts everyone instead of putting her trust in The One
And impatience is her virtue as her fruits blossom before they
have a chance to bud
She trains her body to love physical pleasure
Pleading guilty to her senses
But remaining oblivious to the prison her existence has become
Facing endless disappointment
She’s traded her purity for passion
And her conscience she leaves scarred
Lost
As she steps outside of the comfort of her Father
Her soul sold out
Slipping away from herself
Opening up wounds that only He can heal
If she only knew…

It was/is a lovely poem. You must write more 🙂
Yeah.. I should.. I always find I don’t have time..
But I can make time.. SHOULD make time
Definitely 😉
