Sleep..
I think I have got a slight bout of insomnia..
Can you get insomnia in slights? I have no idea.. But that is what I think that is plaguing me.
It has been about 4 weeks since I have slept throughout the whole night. I am so exhausted I think fatigue has become me. I am forgetting what it feels like to have that peaceful, uninterrupted, serene and effortless.. Sleep.
I have a lot on my mind… All the time. As much as I try to push it to the back in the evenings, outside of work and with nothing to do, my mind wanders and I find myself so exhausted but unable to sleep.
Maybe I am staying on technology too late.. That could have something to do with it.. I read somewhere some time ago (correct me if I’m wrong) that blue light from our laptops, phones, TVs, etc does not help if we are trying to create that calming atmosphere in the bedroom and get to sleep.. Artificial light can wreak its own havoc. Combine that with noise, smells and other factors you’ll become a walking zombie if you do not get enough sleep.
Maybe it should become my practice to begin winding down for bed at 9:30 and by the time my bedtime is here at 10:00pm I will be ready to snooze. It is too late to try it now.. but maybe it is something that I can begin from tomorrow.
The moon is very bright in the sky this evening.. So bright that it is shining through my bedroom window..
