Brief bio..

At work this morning I was asked to write a brief bio about myself to present to the new Dean of the department that I am working in.

This is what I came up with:

“Having graduated with a degree in Engineering in 2013, I moved over from working as a temp at the Student Union for one and a half years to doing programme administration for Social Sciences and Criminal Justice. I have been here 6 months and am really challenged by the role. Every day I learn something new and the team are helpful and welcoming of my 1001 questions… Even when I have probably asked the same one the day before! September 2014 will mark the beginning of a new semester that I am both excited and nervous about. I am looking forward to the new Year One students starting as a lot of the experiences will be as new for me as it will be for them!

I enjoy still being able to interact with students and even though it is not as hands on as the Students Union, I think I am finding it easier to adapt to the change. I often dream of piles of paper and taking minutes, which can only mean I have taken a liking to the role quite well!

In my spare time I enjoy cooking and hosting dinner parties, exercising, organising various events and travelling the world. I have lived in 4 different countries (including the UK) on 3 different continents and sometimes wish I was a bird so I could fly and not have to pay for flights” πŸ™‚

I think that about sums me up.. πŸ˜›

Have a great day!

  1. Haha! I agree, wish I could fly too.

  2. But you are a bird… oops, a slight slip into old-fashioned 1970s sexism there. I must stop watching reruns of ‘The Likely Lads’.

  3. So you’re a world traveller, me too ^^ that was a nice Bio!
