About me…

Here are a few things about me that I thought you may find interesting.. Or not πŸ™‚

I’m sure that a pattern will emerge as you progress through the text πŸ™‚

Fun fact.

I wear a mouth guard to sleep.
I wear a mouth guard because if I didn’t I’d grind my teeth to dust. It’s pink.

Fun fact.

When I can’t sleep I say the alphabet backwards trying to think of an animal for every letter.. I usually get to ‘Q’ and I’m out like a light.

Fun fact.

Before bed I spend 35 minutes getting ready.. 30 minutes of which I stand in the mirror pulling faces – 5 of which are spent brushing my teeth. πŸ˜€

Fun fact.

During one night I can awaken up to 5 times because I am too hot.. Too cold or hungry.. Then I wake up thinking.. Morning already?!

Fun fact.

I don’t like alarms. For my body, alarms = headaches. I sleep with my blinds open and wake up as the sun rises. It’s a bit of a risk when it’s a dull morning.. But it hasn’t failed me yet!

Fun fact.

I dream a lot. An awful lot. Sometimes twice in a night. My dreams are very vivid and sometimes scare me awake.. Then I realise that I’d been dreaming and I breathe a sigh of relief.

Fun fact.

I think sleeping is really weird.
I find it strange that we go into a room and lay down for 6-10 hours – kind of really doing nothing if you think about it in actual terms! – before getting up to start the day again. Hasn’t anyone else ever thought this?

Fun fact.

I never understood when people said “Night night.. Don’t let the bedbugs bite” I know it’s just a phrase but it’s an unusual one! If you were asleep how would you stop the aforementioned bedbugs biting? And using the word “let” surely implies one has been bitten before and needs to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Could always buy a new mattress..

  1. Lol I would love to see you asleep with a mouth guard!
The expression “night night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite” may well be because beds were hung from ropes across slatted frames and had to be kept ‘tight’ so they didn’t sag. Kerosene lamps were used to keep bugs away and sheets and things were not supposed to drop onto the floor so that nasty critters couldn’t crawl up them. If this theory is true then you really could make sure the bugs didn’t bite by carefully preparing your bed beforehand! πŸ™‚
