Sometimes I feel like I just want to sleep for days.

Being a grown up is hard. And tiring. But I said that already.

My work day starts at 8:15am and finishes at 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and I work until 5:00pm on Wednesdays. I need to start sleeping earlier. For some reason, I guess my body still thinks I am a student; I insist on sleeping between 11:00pm and 12 midnight. I’m usually tired way before that but will keep myself awake and not know why! I used to come home from work in the evenings and take a 2 hour power nap and so when it came to bedtime I was wide awake and there was no stopping me!

It’s late.. and I’m tired. The day has been a busy one.. and I’m pooped.

I must be getting older. I remember my first year of University. At this time my friends and I would be getting ready to go out.. now.. try asking any of us to go and party and you’ll get us weighing the pro’s and cons of going out vs going to sleep! I adore my girls.

Saying that.. I need to stop fighting it. My eyes are closing.. and I have work in the morning..

  1. lol it gets no easier 20 years later either! That said, I’m still a night owl and often work past midnight. But my days of going out to party are well and truly over. A couple of pints in the pub with a few good mates is the most I can rustle up and even that is just very occasional… :-/
