Ouch.. my arm
The clumsiness in me strikes again 😦
I started my preparations for dinner and had switched on the oven.. I’m making southern fried chicken with some sweet potato fries and decided I wanted to try them in the oven as opposed to frying them.
Upon taking out the tray I’d forgotten in the oven, I caught my arm on it and burnt myself.
It felt like it happened in slow motion. I didn’t immediately run it under cold water because I thought that it was okay..then some moments after it started burning quite intensely 😦
I currently have my trusty aloe vera gel smothered over the area and am quite proud that this is my first burn!
As you probably remember, I used to burn and injure myself quite a bit because I always felt I needed to do things faster than the speed of light. Thankfully I have slowed down and my injury count has reduced drastically.
I do tend to be more careful these days with what I am doing and make a habit of taking my time more.
The food will wait for me if I wanted to take my time.. I just need to begin to learn to take my time.
Back to cooking!
Toodles!x
Absolutely my dear Apple – burns are not fun things so you take care of yourself 🙂
I know.. I have a lovely red bruise though 🙂 ha ha
How’s that old song go? Slow down you move too fast, you’ve got to make the morning last…
Lol.. My body goes 10 times faster than my mind sometimes.. it’s so hard! lol
I have the opposite problem: I think of a million things I should be getting on with, but then my body tells me maybe later.
Lol!
Maybe we should switch bodies OR brains 🙂
Not sure that’s a good idea mate, if we suddenly swapped bodies you’d never get me away from the mirror! And I’m certain you wouldn’t want my evil brain. Lol
ha ha.. it’s probably not as evil as you make out!
Then prepare to be corrupted. Mwahahaha
looooooooooooooool
I love fried chicken, but I hate frying it! The grease, the burns, the mess, not to mention the calories – sometimes, it just doesn’t seem worth it. I’ve tried packaged coating mixes for oven fried chicken, but they never had quite the flavor I wanted. So, after some experimenting, I’ve come up with a way to cook oven fried chicken that’s as flavorful as the real thing.
What was the method?? 🙂
