Cold Feet..
No.. Not the wedding kind..
My feet are really cold.
My body is warm.. and my feet are freezing. I don’t understand it.
I went to work, after work headed to a meeting and got home around one hour ago. I had plans to make tasty food, but by the time I got back I was tired and hungry and settled with a fresh tomato and basil pasta – It was quite tasty.
Seeming as I’m always cold.. I made my dinner and got into bed to eat it (I know.. naughty me) with my laptop placed on my knees in front of me. I put socks on before I got into bed and got warm and cosy. Then I realised my feet were cold. I mean ice-cold. It felt like I’d worn old boots that had holes in the bottom and it had rained and my feet got soaked. That feeling. I hate it!
“I will not be a victim of ridiculous temperature!” I thought to myself. I’d rather pay a little bit more on my electricity bill at the end of the month than suffer in this cold. I got out of bed and turned on the oven, took my socks off and rubbed my feet with my hands. They never used to get this cold and I’m not sure I understand why they’ve started to become so cold.
Looking online, it may have something to do with the fact I do not wear weather-appropriate shoes – so my body tries to keep the core muscles and organs warm and in doing so my feel are not getting enough circulation.. I don’t know..
What do you think? Has/does this happen(ed) to any of you before??
Feet are often the first to get really cold because they are so far away from your heart. Difficult to say what to do other than what you did – but I do sympathise. My body is totally unused to the British weather now after five years in Asia – it’s not just my feet that are cold as I write!
