Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice Recipe
First and foremost.. I am not a food photographer. Actually.. I’m not much of a general photographer either – I have my moments
Second – I just wanted to eat the food and wasn’t too bothered about how it looked so excuse me for the not very pretty layout.
Third and finally – I need to give credit where credit is due!
The recipe comes from another blogger called BevCooks who I found through Jessica of HowSweetItIs. Can you say obsessed?
I’ve stalked followed Jessica on her blog for I think 2 or so years now and she never fails to disappoint. Her recipes are unique, flavourful and easy to execute. I’ve made several of her recipes in the past, but they’ve been so tasty I’ve forgotten all about taking photos of them until after I’ve finished and you see the bottom of the plate. Whoops.
If you like cooking (or like to look at pictures of tasty food), you should take a wander over to their blogs and have a look.. and you’ll fall in love.
BevCooks Chinese Beef and Broccoli recipe was faultless – however I didn’t add the honey roasted almonds because I didn’t know where they would be sold in the UK so they were omitted from the recipe and I added diced onion during the saute stage.
Oh and I simmered the broccoli and red pepper in a little vegetable stock for 5 minutes before sauteing them.. so they were flavoursome but still crunchy.
The taste was phenomenal.. So much so that I saved half of the portion and am currently eating it for lunch at work – AND I’ll probably make this again tonight for dinner.
Score.
This is definitely going into my recipe rotation!
Thanks again BevCooks and HowSweetItIs!
P.S. When I grow up I want to be like you. Both.
