Day 357..#Busy..

Today has been a busy day..

I woke up a little later than usual, tried porridge for breakfast (I’m really trying to like it!), got ready and went about my day.

At around 2pm, I realised that I needed to head out to the market to get the ingredients for my family’s holiday dinner party on Sunday. I went over my shopping list and wrote the amounts that I needed so I wouldn’t be wondering around for hours.

Around an hour later, my mum came home early from work, and asked me to do some chores, so I ended up leaving the house around 4pm.

I got to the market and walked around twice in both of the different directions before I started to buy anything.

I got all I need to get..bar a few items, and with my heavy bags I headed home.

I got back around 7pm, and began to wash the meat that I needed to marinate until I cooked them on Sunday.

I did two out of three of the chicken wings (jerk marinade and just a chicken marinade), the beef for the curry and the lamb. Now I’m just waiting for the last batch of chicken wings to cool down so I can add the BBQ marinade and cook on Sunday 🙂

I don’t think I can do much more this evening..tomorrow I will make two of the four deserts (chocolate cake and shortbread cookies), because they don’t need to be warm..the other two (apple crumble and my tarte de nata), have to be served warm, so will be cooked once my guests arrive 🙂
