Day 252..#V&A Museum
Today, my friend and I went back to the V&A Museum (Victoria & Albert Museum) in South Kensington because yesterday when we went, it was 20 minutes to closing and we kind of got kicked out.
The building was stunning, and the ceilings reminded me of the New York Public Library.
All the rooms we visited and exhibitions were amazing, especially the Ballgowns Collection (Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950). It depicted how clothing has changed from the 1900’s up to the 2000’s..I smiled the whole way through!
Due to it being such a nice day, the Museum Gardens were opened and the view was absolutely stunning.
People sat around eating, drinking, sunbathing and paddling in the courtyard “pool.”
Tomorrow morning my friend leaves to go back to Germany..
It’s been a good week..A very good week =)
Cool. I missed the British design exhibition they had before that I think, unless it’s still on. Need to check
They had that one and the Heatherwick Studio exhibition I think.
But check it out!
My rubbish internet failed to load your pictures but I loved the post anyway because I think the V & A is great and I really miss London at the moment – wonderful place to visit! 🙂
I hope it lets you see them soon!
It is a beautiful museum.
Oh it is! I remember it well! 🙂
My friend, the world traveler, thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
You are welcome!
I do live in London however, but because my friend came to visit from Germany I became a tourist for a week! 🙂
Portugal, London, or the U.S. we should all enjoy being tourists once in a while.
We should! There are so many amazing things to see right in the cities where we live!
