Day 216..#Busy, Busy, Busy!

For the past month or so, the General Overseer of the Nigerian branch of our church has been staying with us.

He is due to go back to Nigeria today, and as I type this, my father is driving him to the airport.

Because he was leaving today, over the past few days; namely yesterday and today, a lot of the people from our church, as well as family and friends have been coming over to our house to say goodbye and do the whole send-off thing.

I have been running up and down, left and right, in and out, trying to ensure that all the guests have been fed and watered.

Today, in the process of it all, I woke up without having realised that I’d fallen asleep!

The last thing I remember was the adults were having a meeting, and I’d gone up to my room to charge my phone, 2 hours later, the doorbell rang and I woke up confused!

Needless to say, I think I failed slightly as a host! ha ha

 

When my mother got back, she proceeded to start cooking the Southern Fried Chicken she’d been marinating since yesterday, then forced me to taste it and tell her what I thought.

I like chicken..but I don’t like chicken that has just come out of the oven and is piping hot..so I went to the oven and took a few pictures (for my food album) as my mother looked over at me and shook her head..

Everyone has left now and the house is rather quiet.

Well it was, but now my mother is watching Mr. Bean on ComedyCtrl+1 and laughing so hard she requires water!
