Day 118..#”Hostage Incident at Tottenham Court Road”
**UPDATE!!** (@ 23:26)
I’m happy to say that they successfully ended the siege without incident about 3 hours after it started!
————————————————————————-
Imagine my surprise when a friend of mine in London (UK) sends a message saying “There’s a man in an office on Tottenham Court Road with a bomb strapped to him. Stay away from West End. It’s on Sky News now.”
As confused as I was..I went over to news.sky.com and check out whether this was true or not.
It is.
As I was sitting here typing what is a nice day this is turning out to be..and how beautiful this country is..a man said to be around 50 years old marched into an office building with around four gasoline canisters strapped to himself apparently angry because he was not granted a HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence..and claims now he has nothing to live for.
The stand off has been going on for just over two hours now..and he was holding about four people hostage..but I think they’ve been let go..
I have a few friends that work around the area..and have been checking up on all of them..and they have all been evacuated.
Reports have also stated that he may be mentally unstable. Snipers have been positioned on the roof and the police have cordoned off a 350 yard zone..and are trying to keep people away.

I am a little worried..Let’s all just hope this situation is resolved smoothly and quickly.
