Day Seventy-Two..#As We Grow Up
As we grow up..we learn a lot about who we are..we learn a lot about other people..and their capabilities to let you down when you least expect it.
You’ll probably have your heart broken..I have..I thought it was the end of the world..I was young..I never knew true love.
The love of my Father.
I bounced back fine.
I’ve fought with my best friend. Just once..we laugh about it now..but it was the longest and probably one of the most turbulent two months I had..
I’m not in the business of blaming others for something someone else put me through.
I realised that just because one person treated me a certain way that shouldn’t define the way that I interacted with others.
I miss being a child..the innocence..purity..time is something once spent, we cannot get back.
Take photo’s..make videos..add someone new..someone different into your life..every day..
Travel the world..do something you love..stop worrying.
Live like you’ve never lived..laugh till you cry..and love till it hurts..
“Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians chapter 4 vs 7 & 8
You’re so sweet.
thanks bones *hugs*
Such great advice here…and much truth about life’s ups & downs, people we love most hurting us most (and us doing the same to them)…
Love the verses you shared…that passage has meant so much to me in times of struggle!
And these are my fave lines from your writing:
“time is something once spent, we cannot get back.
Take photo’s..make videos..add someone new..someone different into your life..every day…”
Thank you 🙂
At times people forget that life does have it’s ups and downs..but you don’t need to stay on the lows..
It’s like photographs..they only capture a moment..one moment..and if that moment is not a very good one then you look at it and you are not encouraged..a lot of people take photographs of their lives instead of just recording..because when you record you get to see the bad times..how you worked through them and then the good times..I don’t know if that makes sense..your life should be a constant stream of video 🙂
Time is precious..people always say time is money..time is not money..it’s time..money you can get back..time you can’t 🙂
And about the introduction of people..at times it’s the most challenging..but always the most fulfilling for me I think 🙂
“Time is precious..people always say time is money..time is not money..it’s time..money you can get back..time you can’t ”
Oh man, so much wisdom there! I will remember this and use as a reminder to “make the most” of my time—especially with my little “babies” 🙂
Awww..do that! Family is awesome!
And I’m sure your babies will appreciate it! 😛
and that scripture is one of my favourites too 🙂
It’s a strange thing, but whenever I lose someone dear, I’m reminded how fragile this thing we call life actually is. You stop, you make changes, but everyday stuff has a way of getting you back into routine and repetition.
Thanks for the reminder. Not that I’m comparing your post to death of course! 🙂
I know what you mean..I was going to put in a sentence about death..but I thought..maybe not..
I think instead of stopping to instinctively make changes..we need to be spontaneous!
We lack spontaneity..true..life is fragile..that’s why I make sure my life is filled with adventure and something new on a daily basis! 🙂
It’s kinda like pulling random things to do out of a hat..except there are no things. And no hat. Lol
True!
