Day Sixty-Six..#Like-mindedness..
First and foremost..I don’t actually know if that is a real word.
I will therefore speculate and assume that it is.
Secondly, like the tech-savvy technology genius that I am..*and with luck floated to me by my lovely well wishing little girl yesterday..who I named Alice* I managed to sort out the problem with my phone and completely rectify it as of this evening!
Yay me!
So, I’ve been a class with a girl since September who is also on an Erasmus Exchange from Germany..and I can say that since that time..I haven’t sat down with her and had a genuine thought-provoking conversation *I know..terrible on my part!* (and not genuine in the sense of real, but genuine..Can’t explain!)
Today we had another class together. It finished at 7pm, then she asked me how I wanted to go home..whether I wanted to take the metro or the bus (we live very close to each other).
I said I didn’t mind..so we hopped on the bus.
Now I don’t know how the conversation began..but we found ourselves talking about the prospect of marriage and other things, as well as everything being God-centred and God-focused. We then delved deeper into issues that we had dealt with or were currently dealing with..and to be short of calling this conversation “destined”..I can honestly say that it has been one of the most intellectually challenging and thought-provoking conversations I’ve had since reaching Lisbon exactly 6 months ago today.
You never really get to know someone until you sit down and talk to them..
Take the time and talk..
People are truly aweeessssoome!
Again I will say that I am a firm believer of the statement that “everything happens for a reason and purpose” and the conversation I had today proved that!
Divine appointments are awesome. For every one we see we probably aren’t seeing ten that are happening right before our eyes!
That’s so true!
And when they come..the ones obvious to me..I am always so thankful..
