Day Thirty-Four..#Awkward
So I woke up this morning and it felt like I’d had my head removed..filled with a bass drum and then fastened back..
Needless to say..I thought that I was going crazy then I realised that it was my alarm.
*Shambles.*
Any who..so I was reading the news today when I came across a pretty funny story.
So basically the FBI have been tryna catch a hacking collective group named Anonymous after they hacked into the U.S Security Think Tank and performed several other cyber attacks over a period of time at this point which is not known to me..but I assume it’s been a minute 🙂
Anyway..the FBI were in cohorts with British Police (Cybercrime Investigators) as well as officials in Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden and France in an attempt to contain the group who have been described as “loose-knit” *which apparently means that they’re much harder to identify than a tight-knit collective just because they said so*..and during a recent conference call to discuss the issue..the very collective they have been trying to apprehend was in fact hacking their phone lines and listening to the call “apparently devoted to tracking and prosecuting members of the loosely-knit group”
Errr..Awkward.
It must be extremely embarrassing to have to report that “A criminal investigation is under way to identify and hold accountable those responsible”..wasn’t there already a criminal investigation underway to catch this collective..#JustSaying!
And to make matters worse..Anonymous then take to Twitter to gloat at their latest “achievement”..ha ha..sorry..like I said before..I find this story remarkably amusing.
The article later goes on to state that the only reason that they in fact were able to hack the conference call was because they were able to hack into a confidential email sent which contained details and sensitive information about the said call..*so another security breach..Isn’t there some way to allow your email to be secure when you are transferring sensitive information through insecure means..especially when working for the FBI..I’m just asking!*
It’s times like this when I really want to switch on the television and watch some Criminal Minds or some other sort of crime-related drama..I know how completely different it is from real life..but these days law enforcement seem to be more reflecting what we watch daily on television in opposed to what is actually supposed to happen.
Now tell me what is wrong with that sentence?
x
It seems to me that these “criminals” are punishing wrong-doers who do wrong on an almighty scale and think that because they are rich and powerful corporations, they can do as they please. The cops and the feds are protecting them, they are not in place to protect the public – just protect the status quo.
But what do I know? I’m just a dog.
Quite a wise dog it seems!
